Everyone lives on Dollar Street

One of the most eye-opening ways to see how economics affect the way people live around the world is to check out Dollar Street, an amazing visual project by the Gapminder Organisation.

Dollar Street´s founder, Anna Rosling Rönnlund, has sent photographers to over 260 homes in 50 different countries to document the beds, toilets, stoves, pets, toothbrushes, toys (and more!) in households from every income bracket around the world.

Dollar Street lets you visit many homes all over the world- without travelling. And it sends a most powerful message of tolerance and open-mindedness: most of what we call cultural differences are merely economic differences.
