Talking money with Spongebob

Cartoons are a great way to start talking money with young people and who better than SpongeBob to teach kids a lesson or two about being financially disciplined.

One of my favourite SpongeBob episodes is Porous Pockets (Season 6, Episode 12). When SpongeBob accidentally finds a pearl inside an oyster, he becomes the richest citizen in Bikini Bottom. All of a sudden, he starts getting plenty of new “friends” and he turns his back on Patrick, his best pal. But will SpongeBob be able to keep his new-found fortune and popularity? You guessed right: he won´t.
